Chrysler Recalls More Than 250K Minivans Over Potential Airbag Issue
· Sage Law Group, LLP
Detroit, MI — Chrysler, a brand under Stellantis, has issued a recall for over 250,000 Pacifica and Voyager minivans in the United States due to concerns over potentially defective side-curtain airbags. The recall impacts model years 2022 through 2025.

According to documents filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), certain airbags in these vehicles may have improperly sealed seams, which could result in inadequate pressure retention during deployment. This malfunction could reduce the airbags’ effectiveness, increasing the risk of injury or ejection in the event of a crash.
The affected vehicles include:
- 209,668 Chrysler Pacifica units
- 40,983 Chrysler Voyager units
Manufactured between May 2022 and November 2024
While no injuries or accidents have been reported in connection with the defect so far, the company is taking proactive safety measures. Chrysler has already begun notifying owners through interim letters mailed in late June 2025, with a follow-up expected once repair parts are available.
Remedy and Owner Guidance
Chrysler dealerships will inspect and, if necessary, replace the faulty side-curtain airbags free of charge. Owners are encouraged to check their vehicle’s recall status by visiting the NHTSA website and entering their Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).
In a statement, Stellantis emphasised that the recall is being carried out “out of an abundance of caution” and reaffirmed its commitment to vehicle safety and customer satisfaction.
This recall is part of an ongoing industry-wide focus on airbag reliability and safety compliance, following previous high-profile recalls involving other major manufacturers.
